Troublesome Times!

A man named R. E. Winsett was an American gospel music composer. In 1942 he wrote the well-known hymn “Jesus is Coming Soon”. Countries around the world were fighting the Nazi regime to defeat this evil dictatorship. In the first stanza of Winsett’s hymn he says:
Troublesome times are here, filling men's hearts with fear;
Freedom we all hold dear, now is at stake.
Humbling your heart to God, saves from the chast'ning rod.
Seek the way pilgrim's trod. Christians awake!
We indeed have entered troublesome times. Christians around the world can no longer gather to worship our great God and Father. Here in Ontario we haven’t yet received any word from the government on when we can physically meet again. The freedom to worship with each other has been taken away from us. As Mr. Winsett wrote, our freedom is now at stake.
The situation is troubling and seems totally beyond our control. So what should we do? What we must do is humble ourselves by turning to God and crying out to Him in faith. We need to tell Him our fears and concerns and trust that He will take care of us.
1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Let us not look to politicians for help, but call on our Heavenly Father to help us, to guide us, and to keep us close to Him. What matters the most to you and to me is that we have been saved through faith in Jesus Christ. Everything that happens to us here on earth is just for a short time as the Apostle Paul said:
2Co 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
We have a far better eternal life ahead of us to look forward to, and no government can take our heavenly home away from us! Jesus has prepared a place for us in God’s Kingdom and He is coming again to bring us to our eternal home!
Joh 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
